ASDA Cwmbran has had a £1 million pound store re-development which is creating 40 new jobs
Its Undergone a massive transformation giving the store a larger ground floor ,opening up its music and homewear departments and improving the food department ,allowing for a second floor to george clothing.
Giving it a whole new look,It has added 15,000 sq ft of sales space with a host of new departments.
Crowds gathered for the opening at 10.00am, to see the official unzipping of its new department.
As part of its commitment to the local community, ASDA made a £500 cheque donation to the Cwmbran Community Task Scheme and also donating gardening and decorating equipment (the scheme provides gardening and decorating services to the elderly and/or disabled).
Council leader, Evelyn Winfield and chairman councillor Tom Matthews accepted the cheque and the equipment from its George Department store manager Leighton Davies and Events Co-ordinator Jackie Foster.
